Confined Spaces can pose deadly and sometimes invisible hazards to the work force. Workers need to be equipped with the knowledge of these hazards prior to entering a Confined Space, and a monitor can also assist in the recognition and control of these hazards!
Many workers are injured or killed each year while working in confined spaces. A confined space can be more hazardous than regular work spaces for many reasons, and a trained and effective Confined Space rescue team needs to be in place prior to workers entering a confined space.
An estimated 60% of confined space fatalities have been among the would-be rescuers. These deaths could have easily been avoided had the workers received the proper Confined Space training.
